The Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB), through the SheTrades Sri Lanka Hub, successfully conducted a Training Programme on Branding and Digital Marketing for women entrepreneurs in Anuradhapura, with the participation of over 50 women led businesses<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The programme was organized under EDB\u2019s Export oriented Women Entrepreneurship Development in Regions initiative, aiming to strengthen the capacities of women entrepreneurs, enhance their competitiveness, and encourage them to explore export opportunities in international markets. Held on 17th February 2026 at the Divisional Secretariat Office of Nuwaragampalatha Central, Anuradhapura, the training provided practical knowledge on the foundations of effective branding, social media branding strategies, website optimization and SEO basics, and content creation techniques using AI tools. Participants gained hands on guidance on building strong brands, enhancing digital presence, and promoting their products and services to reach both local and global customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The programme was organized by the EDB North Western Provincial Office in collaboration with the Divisional Secretariat Office of Nuwaragampalatha Central, Anuradhapura, ensuring strong local engagement and support for women entrepreneurs in the region. The programme has had a meaningful impact by equipping women entrepreneurs with skills to leverage digital tools for business growth, improve brand visibility, and explore export markets, contributing to the development of sustainable, women-led enterprises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Conducted by EDB officers, the programme is part of a continuing effort, with more training sessions planned across other regions, ensuring that women entrepreneurs nationwide have the opportunity to strengthen their businesses, adopt modern marketing strategies, and expand into international markets. Through the SheTrades Sri Lanka Hub, hosted by EDB, the organization continues to empower women entrepreneurs in regions across the country, supporting them to grow their enterprises, enhance competitiveness, and participate actively in export led growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
