DFCC Bank PLC conducted its first \u201cWyapara Hamuwa\u201d programme for 2026 in Kuliyapitiya, bringing together suppliers connected to PROJAR Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, a Spain-based coconut chips exporting company operating in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The programme engaged 40 coconut chips suppliers, creating a focused platform to strengthen financial understanding and business practices among small and medium-scale participants within the value chain. The session was attended by representatives from PROJAR Lanka, members of DFCC Bank\u2019s Business Banking team, and officials from the DFCC Bank Kuliyapitiya Branch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Designed as a practical engagement, the session centred on financial literacy, banking fundamentals, and entrepreneurship development, equipping participants with insights to better manage cash flows, strengthen operations, and support long-term business continuity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The programme was facilitated by Dinusha Rajaratne of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, who shared perspectives on financial discipline and business decision-making, with a focus on challenges faced by suppliers operating within export-linked industries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
