Kings  Hospital<\/a> Colombo<\/strong> has introduced the SSI Mantra 3.0  robotic surgical<\/a> system<\/strong>, strengthening its capacity to deliver advanced, minimally invasive procedures and expanding local access to precision-led surgical care<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The addition marks a significant step in the  hospital<\/a>\u2019s efforts to align its clinical capabilities with international surgical standards. By integrating robotic-assisted technology into its operating theatres, Kings Hospital Colombo aims to support surgeons in performing complex procedures with greater precision, control and visibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The system provides stereoscopic 3D 4K visualization and advanced instrument control, enabling surgeons to work through smaller incisions. This robotic surgical system is capable of supporting a comprehensive range of surgical procedures, including cardiac surgery. Depending on the procedure and the patient\u2019s condition, minimally invasive surgery may help reduce blood loss and infection risk while supporting shorter hospital stays and faster recovery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyond its immediate surgical applications, the investment is intended to reduce the need for Sri Lankan patients to travel overseas for selected advanced procedures.
