Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Arun Hemachandra had a meeting with Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Viet Nam, Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan, at the Consulate of Viet Nam in Kunming, Yunnan, China recently.
The discussion focused on further strengthening Sri Lanka–Viet Nam relations, especially in the context of the recent high level visits made by the leaders of both countries. These exchanges carry great significance and provide strong momentum to deepen cooperation between our two nations. Sri Lanka VietJet’s commencement of operations to Sri Lanka, which will further enhance connectivity, tourism, business travel, and people to people exchanges. Special attention was given to expanding cooperation in trade and investment, minerals and mining, the gem industry, tea, tourism, and other sectors where both countries can build mutually beneficial partnerships.
