A new architecture that gives AI a shared understanding of the customer and the business, and enables it to act with trust.
Salesforce has introduced its Trusted Enterprise AI Harness, a new architecture designed to help enterprises securely build, manage, and scale AI by providing agents with the context, capabilities, and controls needed to understand business environments, make decisions, and take trusted action.
As the Agentic Enterprise changes how work gets done, AI agents are taking on increasingly complex responsibilities across organisations. They are required to understand information, determine the right next steps, execute actions across systems, and collaborate with people and other agents. Salesforce’s Enterprise AI Harness addresses this challenge by creating a trusted foundation around AI that enables agents to understand the business, reason and plan, take action, and operate within enterprise controls.
The Enterprise AI Harness brings together six trusted capabilities spanning context, agency, action, governance, security, and models through a common, composable architecture built on customer relationships, processes, and controls already running the business. Alongside these capabilities, Salesforce is introducing a new AI Control Plane that provides businesses with a centralised way to see, manage, and control agents and AI as they expand across the enterprise.
The six capabilities include Trusted Context, Trusted Agency, Trusted Action, Trusted Governance, Trusted Security, and Trusted Models. Together, they enable AI to access relevant information, understand customer and business context, determine appropriate actions, securely execute workflows, and operate according to enterprise policies and controls.
Salesforce’s Enterprise AI Harness draws on core technologies across Data 360, Informatica, MuleSoft and Agent Fabric, Tableau, Agentforce, Salesforce Guardian, and Salesforce Platform. This allows organisations to combine Salesforce capabilities with existing technology investments, third-party models, agents, and systems while maintaining flexibility.
Built for choice and openness, the Enterprise AI Harness enables Salesforce capabilities to extend beyond traditional applications into AI experiences where people already work, including Claude, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Agentforce, and other AI platforms. The architecture provides enterprises with greater visibility, governance, and control as AI expands across teams, applications, models, and systems.
Many technologies forming the foundation of Salesforce’s Trusted Enterprise AI Harness are available today, with new capabilities and the unified experience planned to begin rolling out in early fiscal FY28. Existing customers will be able to upgrade eligible Salesforce investments to unlock new capabilities as they become available. Additional details on availability, packaging, pricing, and upgrade paths will be announced closer to general availability.
The architecture helps businesses create a durable foundation where proprietary context becomes a source of differentiation as AI evolves.
