Sri Lanka’s Computer & IT/BPO-related service exports declined to $70 million in March 2024 from $80 million recorded in March 2023, the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) data showed.
“There was a slight moderation in Computer & IT/BPO related services and Air transport services, compared to March 2023,” CBSL said.
Total Computer & IT/BPO-related service exports also contracted to $186 million in the first quarter of the year from $203 million recorded a year earlier.
Computer & IT/BPO-related service imports during March this year also declined to $16 million compared $31 million recorded in March 2023. Accordingly, total outflows from Computer & IT/BPO-related service imports stood at $43 million at the end of the first quarter of this year compared to $56 million in the first quarter of 2023.
